Annde Ewertsen, Executive Director, provides strategic leadership to the Seismic Safety Commission, coordinating closely with Cal OES and the executive branch on matters related to earthquakes, while serving as day-to-day staff lead and setting a course for innovative goals and values for the future. Executive Director Ewertsen comes to the Seismic Safety Commission from the California Earthquake Authority (CEA), where she held multiple senior management positions for 14 years. Most recently she served as the CEA’s Mitigation Director and Earthquake Brace + Bolt Managing Director. She brings a wealth of experience helping Californians prepare for, respond to, and recover from earthquakes and other seismic hazards.
